The fruits are so small that the red doesn’t jump out at you in the field, and the ripe ones don’t last long on the vine before they get eaten. So it helps to think about the movement of the birds who propagate it. We found three plants along our fence, in the most secluded spots where there is dense tree cover surrounding.
